The customizable Platinum Advantage policy just got more flexible. Effective Oct. 1, 2020, applicants in occupation classes 5A, 5P, 4A, 4P, 4S and 3A may choose the 2-Year Mental Disability/Substance Abuse Limitation — and receive a 10% premium discount

Without the limitation, the base policy provides unlimited coverage for those higher occupation classes, through the maximum benefit period, for disabilities caused or contributed to by a mental illness or substance abuse. 

We’ll still require the MDSA Limitation for occupation classes 3P, 2A, 2P, A, B and all California policies. The limitation will also be required for applicants in 3D occupation classes.
