We’ve extended the premium payment grace period to 91 days for all IDI customers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The extended grace period will be effective through the end of May 2020. We’ll continue to monitor COVID-19 impacts and review our grace period guidelines as the situation evolves.

The Standard’s COVID-19 Resource Center for Customers
COVID-19 is prompting an increase in questions from our customers. In response, The Standard has created an online COVID-19 Resource Center where customers can find answers to common questions. We’re regularly updating the Individual Disability section of the Resource Center so be sure to check back for more details.
In the current environment, video messages from you and your producers can add a personal touch to client communications. We’re sharing best practices, instructions and important reminders to help you create personal videos.
We understand that avoiding in-person interactions and allowing extra time is important as we work through the COVID-19 pandemic. For applications, we’ve removed the lab or exam requirement for more applications and extended deadlines to collect requirements. We’re also providing more time to apply for increases, and we’ll renew the BIR without application for those hit harder economically by the pandemic. Read the guidelines for all changes.
