Changes for Medical and Dental Occupations, Residents

These changes will make it easier

 than ever for physicians and dentists to apply for income protection.

  • We no longer require all medical and dental occupations to submit a blood profile and urinalysis due solely to their occupation. Medical underwriting requirements will be determined by issue age and amount applied for, regardless of occupation.
  • Medical residents can now apply for new-in-practice limits — $6,500 or $7,500, depending on specialty — with Simplified Underwriting.
