Get Ready to Sell Platinum Advantage in NY & Other States

The Standard is excited to bring you new details about our Platinum Advantage income protection policy. It will launch in six more states and the District of Columbia on June 1, 2018.

The hit product will soon be available to clients in New York, Connecticut, Delaware, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Washington, D.C.

Platinum Advantage's availability in more states puts you in a great position to help clients get the right coverage at the right price. This policy is comprehensive and flexible. It will appeal to clients who want the best possible contract, as well as those who are more price-conscious.

Here’s what has made Platinum Advantage a hit since its launch in early 2017:

  • Built on the same strong contract you expect from The Standard
  • Meets the needs of more executives, professionals and physicians with strong features and flexible riders
  • Offers flexibility with three choices of Residual Disability and options such as the Own Occupation and Noncancelable Policy riders

Effective June 1, 2018, you may submit applications for Platinum Advantage in the six new states and D.C, using the new Platinum Advantage application and supplemental forms. You may complete applications for Protector PlatinumSM and Protector EssentialSM until July 1, 2018, using the current application and supplemental forms. These must be received in the home office no later than August 1, 2018. For more details, including transition information for policy increases, please view the full transition rules.

Guaranteed Standard Issue

After the product's launch date of June 1, 2018, all new requests for proposals in the six states and D.C. will be quoted on Platinum Advantage GSI. The final day to submit requote requests for Protector Platinum will be July 31, 2018. All offer letters for Protector Platinum must be signed and returned by August 31, 2018.
